We didn’t come to Asia. Asia came to us -as a professional opportunity. Seven years later, I am extremely grateful about all the unexpected -these things that weren’t planned and brought us where we’ve been. It’s been a rich and fabulous journey, with a myriad of incredible adventures -here is our Top 20 experiences in Asia.

Our trip in Yunnan took us into the China of our dreams. If you ask me what made it so wonderful, I won't be able to answer with a straight answer. There are so many reasons, going from the adventure feel to the amazing local food... 

Situated half way of our Yunnan trip itinerary, Lijiang is a gorgeous old town dating to the late Song dynasty. Inscribed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1997, it used to be part of the legendary Silk Road. We wanted a break from the spirited road trip, some time to slow down, explore Lijiang and discover the Naxi ethnic minority. The Blue Indigo came as an evidence...

Set amongst Fujian Province's rice, tea and tobacco fields stands a very unique architecture treasure : the Tulou. Large earthen houses dating back centuries built along a circular or square floor plan. Housing a whole clan -up to 800 people!-, the Tulou houses function as village units, and are still inhabited today... Are you ready for a journey back in time? 

Yunnan's Tiger Leaping Gorge is a wild, remote corner of China. We spent two days across this spectacular nature, hiking along rice terraces, waterfalls and rivers, crossing wild goats and meeting fascinating people, surrounded by the most scenic views... 

Yunnan is the most southwest region of China, bordering the beautiful countries of Vietnam, Laos and Burma. Within these borders, it has a large ethnic diversity -not to forget it is the door to the Tibetan heritage. It's perhaps the most diverse province of China, both in its extraordinary mix of people and in the majestic beauty of its landscapes. Whatever time you've set aside for Yunnan, it will never be enough...

2015. What a year -again! I'm so incredibly thankful and humbled by everything that came from this year. I went to places I didn't even know existed before -to name one, Okinawa-, swam in the clearest water I've seen, snowboarded in the legendary powder snow of Japan, met incredible people from all over the world...

Last April, I went on my very first journey in mainland China -I told you how Beijing amazed me. I've discovered the greatness, the immensity that reflects of the country's identity. The Summer Palace represents it well. The Imperial family's old summer retreat is absolutely HUGE -it's hard to believe it's only half and hour ride from the city. Surrounded by mountains, the Lake Kunming (opening the video) offers an incredible view. And the Great Wall! (...)

When you think about the places you'd like to visit in your life, China comes usually on top, with the Great Wall -and that's all. Living in Hong Kong, I've now heard about many fantastic China destinations I was unaware of before.

Buddhist grottos, national parks, wide deserts, spectacular land forms, high mountains... Did you know that China's vast territory endows the country with some of the most beautiful natural scenery on Earth? 

I just came back from my very first trip in China and still can't believe how amazing it was. I have to confess: I had lots of pre-ideas about China. I've heard so many stories from travelers, I just wanted to go there and explore it by myself. To get my own idea… Beijing literally blew my mind, for different reasons.
