We stayed almost a year in Indonesia, expats, based in Jakarta. Unfortunately we had to eat, therefore, we had to work -and couldn't spend all our time traveling. But, still, we took the time to explore the islands and discover heavenly places. Let me think back to these amazing memories...

The islands of the Kerama group are a world away from everything you know. An archipelago surrounded by coral reefs and unbelievably transparent seas where time has stopped years ago. A place where you live in close communion with the ocean, in a unique atmosphere. It consists of 22 small islands, southwest of Okinawa's main island. It's picturesque, with few people and an incredible wildlife.
Jozankei is a hot spring village lost in Shikotsu-Toya National Park, an hour from Sapporo. In winter, the atmosphere is particularly special, as the onsen's hot steam blowing out of the ground contrasts with the snow-covered landscape. In this very town, we've lived one of the most beautiful experiences since we started traveling 4 years ago...
First stop of our Hokkaido ski trip: Otaru, Kiroro and Kokusai! Not only the views are stunning and the Japanese atmosphere unique, but the powder in Hokkaido is champagne of the finest type, being not only one of the deepest but also the liiightest in the world! A detail that change my love for snowboard to addiction.
2015. What a year -again! I'm so incredibly thankful and humbled by everything that came from this year. I went to places I didn't even know existed before -to name one, Okinawa-, swam in the clearest water I've seen, snowboarded in the legendary powder snow of Japan, met incredible people from all over the world...
Tokyo. The sublime, the vibrant, the dazzling, the futuristic. TOKYO. First time I set foot in the city, I couldn't believe it -is that all real or am I in a movie scene? The language, the food, the culture, the architecture, the humor, EVERYTHING is different from what I know. It's thrilling. Since I've discovered the city, I can't help coming back again and again.
One of the good points of being based in HK is the proximity with Japan. I can take a night flight and be eating my fresh sushis breakfast in Tsukiji Fish Market the next day. Considering all the places I've visited so far, Tokyo is the best city I have ever explored. For many, many different reasons. 2014 has been a little bit crazy. A wedding. A hug with a koala. A one way ticket to Hong Kong. A kiss with an elephant. A jump from a plane. A Korean karaoke. A trek in the Himalayas. An encounter with a Buddhist monk. A Japanese garden. A cat café. A never to be forgotten curry. Yeah, we've pretty much kicked our bucketlist this year*.
