We stayed almost a year in Indonesia, expats, based in Jakarta. Unfortunately we had to eat, therefore, we had to work -and couldn't spend all our time traveling. But, still, we took the time to explore the islands and discover heavenly places. Let me think back to these amazing memories...

I knew if I wanted to stay long in New Zealand, I would need a way to get rid of accommodation costs. Another of my concern was how to immerse myself in the local culture -I wasn't flying 18.000kms to spend my time with other Europeans backpackers. Work exchange appeared to me as an obvious decision.

The trail wends its way 19.4km through New Zealand's oldest National Park and a dual World Heritage Area. Featuring an incredible volcanic terrain, unique and dramatic landscapes and a range of endemic flora, the Tongariro Alpine Crossing is a beautiful playground for avid hikers and photographers...
I drove around New Zealand for a six months journey, alone with my car, my camera & my notebooks, exploring new wanders every single day. Some of these discoveries appeared as "the" things that make New Zealand so special. A wonderland. Unexpected encounters, great landscapes, national parks, incredible cities...
The moment I step on the land of the long white cloud & the 60 millions sheep, I immediately fall in love with the place. I lived some of the most terrific experiences ever, there. I had six beautiful months to enjoy every recesses of the country. Was it enough? Of course not. But that's ok, it gives me an perfect excuse to plan another trip there. It's on the list.
