Beside the worldwide famous skyline and the Peak, there's a fabulous food scene to discover, a creative local street art, many gorgeous markets, and -believe it or not- stunning outdoors! One way or another, this city will surprise you...
We stayed almost a year in Indonesia, expats, based in Jakarta. Unfortunately we had to eat, therefore, we had to work -and couldn't spend all our time traveling. But, still, we took the time to explore the islands and discover heavenly places. Let me think back to these amazing memories...

Sometimes project is so big, so fuzzy and so scary that you simply don't want to contemplate it at all. But you can do something about that, and you can do it right now.
The Similan Islands, a string of islands off the West Coast of Thailand, are clear blue diamonds in the Andaman Sea. The secret to enjoy this piece of paradise is to stay overnight. Then you'll have the glorious beaches virtually to yourself in the golden hours before the boats begin arriving at about 11am and after they've all departed at about 3pm. Simply magic
17 days, 1852kms, 1 hug with a koala, 2 huge spiders into the car, 4 flights, 2 vans, 5 friends, 1 jump from an airplane, 1 35$ fine, 29 suicidal stupid kangaroos, 1 crocodile pie and 1 GPS with no sense of direction. I kept the best for the end - a video of our trip to wrap up this post.
