3 UK Events Not To Be Missed in 2016

We all know how London is the beating heart of England, and if we want to venture to Scotland, then the likelihood is we'll stop off at either Glasgow or Edinburgh to get our culture fix. Though travel doesn't have to be restricted to the staple destinations that see such a high volume of tourists. Thus, I have created a list of 3 different events for travelers who are venturing to the UK for the first time to peruse. Yes, I've included one event in London -but hopefully this concoction of options will give you a selection of events to potentially plan your trip to the UK around sometime in 2016. PHOTO©REX FEATURES

For fashion lovers, LFW is something every fashionista should experience at some point in their life. The event spans over 5 days in which the best designers from around the world congregate in London to show off some of their most daring creations. Celebrities are in full attendance as well as world-renowned designers -such as Alexander McQueen, Orla Kiely, Burberry and Paul Smith.

The Cheltenham Festival is a fixture in the annual UK horse racing calendar. It features the Champion Chase, Champion Hurdle, World Hurdle, the Cheltenham Gold Cup and of course, Ladies Day. Thousands attend every year and the Gold Cup is the “most valuable non-handicap race in the UK.”

A reported $600,00 goes to the winner of the Gold Cup. But, for the women out there who love to dress up, Cheltenham's Ladies Day is a wonderful event to attend. Women showcase their fashion sense with stunning dresses and an array of hats to mark the occasion -in 2015, Camilla, the Duchess of York and model Katie Price were just some of the celebrities spotted at this year's event.

The most famous music festival in the UK, Glastonbury attracts more than 200,000 people each year. It's the least commercial of all the major festivals, and is revered across the world for being a musically diverse platform for literally every genre known to man.

Tickets for the event have already gone on sale and have unfortunately sold out. However, that doesn't mean that you won't be able to attend. Every year around April they release thousands of resale tickets which you can purchase online. In 2016, it is rumored that Rihanna, the Stone Roses and Elton John could possibly headline the festival
